Description

Silofast 8 Capsule is used for Problems with urination, Increased urgency, Incomplete emptying, Hesitancy, Problems urinating and other conditions. Silofast 8 Capsule may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
Silofast 8 Capsule contains Silodosin as an active ingredient.
Silofast 8 Capsule works by blocking the alpha-1 receptors located in the muscles of human prostate, urinary bladder and urethra and relaxes these muscles.

Dosage

Missed Dose
 Silofast 8 Capsule dosage should be taken as soon as possible. It is advisable to skip the missed dose if it is already time for your next scheduled dose. Do not use extra medicine to make up for the missed dose.
Overdose
Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of an overdose.

Silofast 8 Capsule Uses

Silofast 8 Capsule use is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms:

• Problems with urination
• Increased urgency
• Incomplete emptying
• Hesitancy
• Problems urinating
• Silofast 8 Capsule may also be used for purposes not listed here.

Warnings and Precautions for Silofast (8mg)

• Caution should be exercised in patients with history of low blood pressure, kidney or liver disease, elderly and children.
• Avoid driving a car or operating machinery, as it may cause dizziness and lightheadedness.
• Get up slowly from bed while taking this medication as silodosin can result in postural hypotension.
• Silodosin is prescribed only for men and is not advisable for women especially during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Silofast 8 Capsule - Side-effects

The following is a list of possible side-effects that may occur from all constituting ingredients of Silofast 8 Capsule effects. This is not a comprehensive list. These side-effects are possible, but do not always occur. Some of the side-effects may be rare but serious. Consult your doctor if you observe any of the following side-effects, especially if they do not go away.

• Change or problem with discharge of semen
• Liver dysfunction
• Sore throat
• Stuffy or runny nose
• Allergic skin rejection
• Jaundice
• Diarrhea
• Dizziness especially while getting up suddenly from a lay position
• Headache
• Swelling of tongue

Silofast 8 Capsule - Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to Silofast 8 Capsule is a contraindication. In addition, Silofast 8 Capsule should not be used if you have the following conditions:

• Allergic reactions
• Pregnancy and lactation
• Surgery
